Underwriting Manager in Saint Louis, MO

Growing A rated insurance carrier located in St. Louis, MO is looking for an Underwriting Manager. This position will be overseeing the underwriting of multiple lines of coverage for this niche carrier. This position is open due to a promotion in their St. Louis office. Manager will oversee the day to day activities of 5 underwriters and 2 underwriting technicians. The primary coverages offered are Auto Liability, Property and workers compensation for the transportation industry.Will report to the AVP of Underwriting in the St. Louis Office.To be candidates who are qualified should have 6-10yrs of background underwriting multiple lines of coverage with an emphasis on commercial auto. Strong Senior Underwriter applicants will be considered for this opening, but background in a managerial role is preferred.
